Summit Health is the nation’s leading vendor for on-site health screening, health educational services, and immunization programs with the following strategic advantages:

A. Largest Network in the United States:
Summit Health guarantees delivery in every zip code in the United States. Summit Health has over 3,000 employees and a network of 1,200 offices throughout the U.S. An example of our capability is the Wal-Mart Healthy Heart screening program for the general public on February 17. Summit Health conducted health screenings at 3,400 Wal-Mart stores using a staff of over 4,700 all on the same day. Summit Health has never declined a program due to staff requirements (numbers and type) or geographic location.

B. Streamlined and Efficient Screening Services:
Summit Health has the largest selection of services such as venipuncture (blood draw) or finger stick screenings, bone density, COPD, and immunizations. In addition, Summit Health can support on-site screenings where results are processed at the site or through a national diagnostic laboratory. The most popular worksite program is Summit Health’s Healthy Heart package where clients are given their blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, BMI, and counseling with face to face contact with a screener at one table to yield the highest customer satisfaction. Other examples of unique services include a client requesting Summit Health to conduct a digital rectal exam and PSA test on all male employees over 50 across 36 sites. This flexibility makes Summit a one-stop-shop for all our client’s mobile healthcare needs.

C. Laboratory Flexibility:
Summit Health can work with any laboratory. Our preference is LabCorp. LabCorp is Summit Health’s partner for Executive Screenings (high-end blood and urine lab tests) for our Insurance Clients and our laboratory for a new service we are rolling out which is health screenings in any home in America. LabCorp also makes their 1,700 Patient Service Centers (PSCs) available to Summit Health as a screening location.

Summit Health supports very demanding clients such as Aetna, CIGNA, Highmark, Humana, Premera, BCBS of Michigan, UPS, IBM and Home Depot for on-site health screening and educational programs. By meeting and exceeding these client’s requirements, Summit Health has become the premier health services vendor in the U.S.

I. Single Station Model:
Summit Health uses a single station for screenings. The complete screening and counseling is conducted at one station with one Summit Health Staff member. This setup yields a significantly higher customer satisfaction versus the multiple station model used by our competitors.

J. Strategic Partnership with University of Michigan:
Summit Health has worked extensively with Dr. Dee Edington and his team at the Health Management Resource Center, University of Michigan. Summit Health has developed an innovative, proprietary front end authentication engine for the University of Michigan HRA, and is engaging University of Michigan to develop specialized health and wellness content and lifestyle management programs.

K. Financial Strength:
Summit Health is a profitable company with no debt. It is the largest combined provider of flu shots and health screenings in the U.S. This financial strength allows Summit Health to support large-scale programs and the funds to invest in our business so we can provide the highest quality services and products. This financial viability also ensures Summit Health will be a reliable and consistent provider for future programs.

L. Accuracy of Screening Results:
Our equipment undergoes quality control at the following three levels before being used on an employee:
   • Each machine Quality Assurance (QA) at our distribution center prior to being shipped to our local office. The QA values are recorded on a log for each machine.
   • The local office conducts a QA on all machines once they are received.
   • A final QA is conducted at the screening site prior to the start of the clinic
In the event a machine does not pass QA, it is sent into the manufacturer for replacement.
Three times a year Summit Health goes through a proficiency test through an independent national laboratory. This process involves receiving blood samples for testing. Summit Health submits our cholesterol and diabetes test screening results to this laboratory for verification. Summit Health has scored a 100% proficiency on all of the challenges.
M. Quality of Screenings:
Summit Health ensures the quality of screenings through the following steps:
1. Staff chosen based on experience, licensing, education, and certification
2. Extensive training by local office
   • In-service training led by Summit Health, including “hands-on” training with        equipment, augmented by videos
   • Web-based training
   • Required to review client customized Summit Health procedure manual
   • Staff required to take “on-line” test and pass with a rating of 90% or above
3. Set-up, screening, and tear-down checklists at event
4. Equipment Quality Controlled prior to shipment, at local office, and then      calibrated on-site at the clinic. For each machine a Quality Control log is      maintained.
5. Team Leader monitors quality during the event along with corrective actions
6. Screening protocol includes biometric results coaching script and national     guidelines
7. An electronic satisfaction survey is sent to the Horizon site coordinator.
