Through a strategic alliance with Laboratory Corporation of America (a leading diagnostic company), Summit Health is able to offer more than 500 diagnostic tests on blood samples. Published reports document that venipuncture is less painful than finger sticks due to fact that the anterior side of the arm has fewer nerves than the fingertips. </p> <p>Venipuncture lab tests provide for a significantly larger number of test options than fingerstick test results. A physician reviews each participant s results after laboratory testing.
