About Me
Daniel Laurie, MD is a member of Summit Health’s Pulmonary Team who is board certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine and Critical Care (ABIM). As a pulmonologist, he has a particular interest in complex causes of shortness of breath and unusual findings on CAT scans of the chest. He aims to provide care in a friendly manner, focused on helping all patients understand complex lung-related issues in a simple way.
During a patient visit, Dr. Laurie wants his patients to feel extremely comfortable with him and know he will support them to the best of his abilities, ensuring that they have a health plan to move forward with confidence. “I enjoy serving and being there for patients and value the trust that patients and their families have in me,” he says.
Dr. Laurie strives always to be available to his patients and seeks to expedite their care as much as possible. He believes in having an honest relationship with them, explaining complex medical conditions in a digestible way. He is also passionate about the early detection and gold standard treatment of lung cancer and seeks to maintain an equal partnership in his relationship with patients.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Laurie enjoys playing violin in an orchestra. He is also an avid hiker and spends his free time relaxing with his wife and daughter.
