Emily Mignogni, PharmD, has an area of expertise in pharmacotherapy, including side effect and financial management of oral oncology. Aside from oncology, Dr. Mignogni has clinical interests in pharmacogenomics, anticoagulation, and their roles in cancer treatment.
She believes in a collaborative, coordinated, and accessible approach to healthcare ensuring to meet patients' goals. “My philosophy to patient care is to provide the patient with the information needed to make educated decisions and to become their best advocates,” she says.
First and foremost, Dr. Mignogni believes it’s imperative that patients feel comfortable during a visit. Patients are usually overwhelmed by their diagnoses and tend not to ask any questions about the medications prescribed. She encourages patients to ask questions to make informed decisions about their care. The best part of her job? Interacting with patients and aiding them in receiving clinically appropriate, cost-effective medications.
Dr. Mignogni’s interests outside of work include spending time at the beach, exercising, and playing with her dog.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. G in Florham Park for a very long time and she is the best doctor I’ve ever had in my whole life! Now I will need cancer treatment and I’m finding all of Summit Health incredible. The Infusion Center Medical Care team is terrific and I feel very comfortable coming there. Liz Fleming outlined my whole schedule and how I can best proceed and get myself through a rough time. I find that extremely helpful and look forward to meeting her in person when I start my treatment next week Then I met up with Emily Mignogni at the Oncology Dispensary and I’m just so thankful for her help and support. Getting pills to treat cancer are so expensive and it gets overwhelming but Emily is such a positive and supportive person that she changed my total outlook. I never knew I could actually get my cancer pills from Summit. What amazes me about about Summit is how all the medical care people are truly a team and they work together to help their patients. As a result, I am starting to switch some of my other doctors to Summit Health as well. Thank you so much for your support!
