About Me
Faton Bytyci, MD is a member of Summit Health’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team. Dr. Bytyci is a board-certified sports medicine physician. He competed his fellowship in sports medicine at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Lehigh Valley where he worked extensively with their Division I football, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse teams treating various sports related injuries.
Dr Bytyci provides treatment to patients of all ages for various musculoskeletal disorders including joint arthritis, overuse injuries, joint sprains, back and neck strains, fracture care, nerve injuries, head injuries/concussions. His clinical skills and interests include dynamic diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided injections of various healing agents such hyaluronic acid, corticosteroids as well as OrthoBiologics (PRP and stem cells).
Dr. Bytyci approaches care with each patient’s individual needs, goals, and lifestyle being top of mind. He takes pride in delivering high-quality care using the latest treatments in a comfortable, caring environment. He also ensures every patient feels fully informed about their conditions and treatment options, as well as empowered in their decision-making. The most rewarding part of his work, he says, is “seeing my patients progressing from wheelchair- or crutches-dependent to being able to walk, run, play, and work without restrictions.”
Dr Bytyci has published multiple research projects in British Medical Journal (BMJ), AMA Wire, Research Gate, Open Science, Applied Radiology. He has also presented sports medicine clinical research studies at the AMSSM annual meeting in 2018 and remains an active member. He has been working as peer reviewer for British Medical Journal since 2018.
In his free time, Dr. Bytyci enjoys playing soccer, skiing, hiking, traveling, and cars.
