He uses a wide array of non-invasive diagnostics like echocardiography, vascular US, stress testing, nuclear imaging and cardiac rhythm monitoring. Additionally, he is a preventative Cardiologist and clinical Lipidologist who focuses on prevention by risk factor optimization, including: HLD, HTN, obesity, poor dietary and lifestyle habits.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac Echocardiography, Vascular Imaging Interpretation, and Clinical Lipidology, Dr. Bassil’s approach to health care is to provide “holistic patient care with emphasis on risk factor optimization and prevention”, he says. During a patient visit, he thinks it’s important to counsel his patients about primary and secondary cardiovascular prevention as well as optimization of their cardiovascular health.
Dr. Bassil most enjoys improving the health and well-being of his patients so they can enjoy the best quality of life and is also passionate about cardiovascular prevention and improving dietary habits and lifestyle on a larger community level.
When not practicing medicine he enjoys cooking, wine-tasting, traveling, and swimming. Dr. Bassil has also participated in many research studies including working on developing a high throughput assay to find novel therapeutic agents for Afib and many more.
