About Me
Nimish Dharia, MD is a board-certified cardiologist and internist who prevents, diagnoses, and treats cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks, rhythm disturbances and cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
Dr. Dharia pursued a career in health care to add meaningful value to those around him, improving lives by being empathetic and informative. He also enjoys the pursuit of lifelong learning, being constantly educated by both clinical trials and his patients.
His approach and philosophy to patient care is that of equal partnership. “I attempt to understand and learn from my patient’s situation and jointly come up with a treatment plan,” he says. According to Dr. Dharia, the most important thing during a patient visit is accomplishing the purpose of that encounter.
He loves being a physician and enjoys interacting with different types of people and learning something new every day. Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Dharia loves spending time with his wife of 23 years, his 19-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter. They enjoy swimming, biking, skiing, and hanging out as a family. Among his other interests is a passion for preventive care, particularly discussing obesity and substance abuse.
