About Me
Dr. Scott M. Tinter is board-certified in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been practicing for over 25 years. Dr. Tinter brings his internal medicine expertise to Summit Health where he provides his patients with the utmost care. He has been published in Strathmore’s Who’s Who. Inclusion is limited to individuals who have demonstrated leadership and achievement in their occupation, industry and profession.
Dr. Tinter diagnoses and treats patients 18 years of age and older with a wide variety of illnesses, with an emphasis on preventative care. Dr. Tinter believes, “it is very important that the doctor and patient work as a team. Involving patients in decision making is best achieved by listening to and educating them, this in turn results in the patient being an integral part and active participant in their own care.”
What Dr. Tinter finds most important is developing a strong doctor-patient relationship and getting to know his patients and their families personally. As a doctor, he strives to become an important part of a person’s life. He knows it is imperative to gain a patient’s confidence and faith in all aspects of the care he gives including times of vulnerability. This in turn is very rewarding to him.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Tinter spends time with family and enjoys going to the gym, watching and participating in sporting activities, and writing screenplays.
