About Me
Andrew M. Halperin, DC, CACCP, CCSP is a chiropractor in practice with Summit Health, working out of the Berkeley Heights and Florham Park locations. Dr. Halperin specializes in chiropractic medicine with expertise in spinal manipulation, physiotherapy, soft-tissue therapy, exercise, and rehabilitation. He is experienced in treating sports related neck and back injuries in both children and adults and providing chiropractic care during and after pregnancy. He understands the importance of accurate, effective interventions for every individual and practices with full intention of helping his patients revert to their healthiest selves, without having to rely on drugs or surgery.
A New Jersey native himself, Dr. Halperin left his roots to study at and graduate from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Subsequently, he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic program, part of Southern California University’s Health Sciences department.
Dr. Halperin’s professional experience includes nearly twenty years of private practice on the upper West Side of New York City where he delivered many health-related lectures to local schools, fitness centers and the Museum of Natural History, one of the world’s most distinguished scientific and cultural institutions. His previous New Jersey based practice was inside a fitness center, affording him the opportunity to treat many different athletic injuries.
Dr. Halperin continues to be active in sports that he enjoyed as a high school athlete and currently plays both basketball and softball, locally. Some of his accomplishments include being recognized as one of New Jersey Family Magazine’s “Favorite Kids’ Docs” multiple years, running in the New York City Marathon and being a proud husband and father of two. He has also enjoyed the unique experience of volunteering his services at the New York City Marathon.
