About Me
Derrick I. Wallace, MD, FACS, specializes in the medical and surgical care of disorders of the ear, nose, and throat in adults and children. His expertise includes salivary gland surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, coblation tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, and balloon sinuplasty. Dr. Wallace also has expertise in ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy of thyroid nodules and other masses of the head and neck.
After completing a Fellowship in Microvascular, Head and Neck Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Wallace went on to teach while working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center, and for the last decade has been in private practice in the northern New Jersey area before joining Summit Health.
Dr. Wallace has co-authored numerous articles and abstracts that are published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, including Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Archives of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and Head & Neck. He has delivered local and national presentations in his field.
Dr. Wallace is featured in New Jersey Monthly “Top Doctors” listing.
When Dr. Wallace is not working he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and traditional Japanese martial arts.
