About Me

Diana Nido, MD specializes in internal medicine, which includes the diagnosis and treatment of many medical issues in adults, ongoing care of their chronic illnesses and disease prevention. Dr. Nido believes in a patient-centered approach and thinks it is important that the patient plays an active role in their health, being involved in the decision making and treatment process with respect to their preferences and values.

As part of her position at Summit Health, Dr. Nido enjoys communicating with her patients while making positive impacts on their health. She says, “The most important thing to me during a patient visit is forming a relationship built on trust and communication.”

Dr. Nido pursued a career in medicine because she felt it would be very rewarding to make a difference in people’s lives. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree, Magnum Cum Laude, from the American University of Antigua in 2013 and completed her Internal Medicine Residency from New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in 2017, where she received the Resident of the Year award.

When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Nido enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
