About Me
Jacob Mathew, MD is a Board-Certified Neurologist with a special expertise in stroke/TIA, neuro critical care, epilepsy, migraine, multiple sclerosis, dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, neuro muscular disorders and neck, back and head injuries. The procedures he performs include EMG/nerve conduction studies, EEG, Botox and trigger point injections.
In addition to his position at Summit Health, Dr. Mathew is interested in educating the community about stroke awareness, informing individuals how to recognize early signs which may allow for more timely treatment and preventative measures to help reduce disease burden and severity. He also successfully completed a research project under the Indian Council of Medical Research, titled “Porphyria in Psychiatric Patients”.
“I knew at an early age I always wanted to make a difference in the lives of others and focus on a career geared at preventing diseases and promoting good health,” Dr. Mathew states. He treats every patient, if they are a family or friend, with dedication and commitment.
Dr. Mathew is also passionate about missionary work and helping those people who are impoverished or ill. When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Mathew enjoys listening to music and spending time with his family.
