About Me

Janna M. Hodge, LPC, is a licensed Professional Counselor, who specializes in individual cognitive behavioral therapy for general anxiety, social phobia, and school anxiety. Ms. Hodge also works with individuals suffering from clinical depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, perfectionist thinking, low self-esteem, excessive stress, and individuals struggling with life transitions. Ms. Hodge works primarily with children (7 and older), adolescents and college-age individuals. Ms. Hodge also has a specialized interest in the treatment of children diagnosed with ADHD. She uses an evidenced based parent training model to help parents of children with ADHD meet the needs of their child, foster a growth perspective and healthy self-esteem.

Before joining Summit Health, Ms. Hodge was a pediatric clinician in East Brunswick, NJ working with children and families in an outpatient setting.

"When I work with an adolescent, my focus is not on fixing them. My focus is on helping them discover who they are by encouraging them to evaluate the way they think about themselves and the world around them. I assist them in disputing thoughts that sustain their negative perspective, and work with them to find a more balanced way of viewing themselves and the world so that they no longer feel lost," says Ms. Hodge. “Life is about balance.”
