About Me

Jenny M. Frances, MD, MPH is a member of Summit Health’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team. Dr. Frances is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon who treats musculoskeletal problems in children and adults. Her broad practice and clinical interests include fracture care, sports injuries, lower extremity deformities, Blount's disease, hip dysplasia, clubfoot, Perthes disease, scoliosis, benign pediatric orthopedic tumors, osteogenesis imperfecta, and other pediatric orthopedic problems. In addition, she sees adult patients in need of general orthopedic care, with a focus on treatment plans and education to optimize improvement with nonoperative options when possible.

Dr. Frances approaches care with an eye toward her patients’ individual needs, activities, and lifestyles. She also focuses on easing the minds of her patients and families alike, providing helpful information relevant to their conditions and treatment plans. “It’s important to me to make a difference in my patients’ lives and help them get better,” she says. “I love working with children—they are an inspiration every day.”

In her free time, Dr. Frances enjoys spending time with her daughter and dog, going to the Poconos, kayaking, hiking, biking, and skiing. She is passionate about community and parent education, and focusing on early diagnosis and treatment to mitigate difficult conditions in children such as clubfoot and hip dysplasia.
