About Me
Joel Mendelson, MD, FAAP, FACAAI sees patients in Summit Health's Allergy / Immunology department. Previously, he was in private practice and has worked as Director Pediatric Allergy/Immunology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He is an accomplished researcher and presenter in his field, with extensive specialization in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
Dr. Mendelson is a member of the New Jersey Pediatric Infectious Disease Society, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (Pediatric Infectious Disease section), a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy/Immunology (serving on the Antibiotic Allergy Committee and the Research Council Committee on AIDS), and a Fellow of the American College of Allergy/Immunology
He has won numerous awards, including New York Magazine Best Doctors, New Jersey Monthly Best Doctors, and Castle Connelly Guide NY Metro Area Top Physicians.
