About Me
Missy D. Briody, MS, OTR, CHT specializes in hand therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to her position at North Jersey Hand Therapy, which began in 2013, Ms. Briody has practiced with Pediatric Therapeutics, LLC, since 2002 in Chatham, New Jersey. She also has practiced with PG Chambers School in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, where she worked with children with occupational impairments. She has been a staff occupational therapist with the Morristown Medical Center Rehabilitation Institute in Morristown, New Jersey.
Ms. Briody says, "As a result of my personal experience with hand therapy, I empathize with my patients and I listen carefully to their concerns and goals to develop treatment plans that meet their needs. In addition to helping my patients achieve their goals through hand therapy, I enjoy educating them about their conditions.
Ms. Briody is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, New Jersey Occupational Therapy Association and the American Society of Hand Therapists.
When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Briody enjoys spending time with her family as well as reading and being outdoors for skiing, hiking, and cycling.
