About Me

Peter Perdik, MD, practices both internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine specializing in pulmonary disease. Dr. Perdik has special clinical interests and expertise in the treatment of asthma and COPD and smoking cessation counseling.

Dr. Perdik is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Hofstra University School of Medicine. He teaches physical diagnosis, clinical learning and preceptor students in the Bayside, NY office. In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Perdik has a master’s degree from the University of Southern California in medical management.

"I decided to enter health care because it’s who I am – I can’t imagine doing anything else. Establishing rapport, trust and good communication are keys to good patient care,” Dr. Perdik says. “In addition, it is important to follow appropriate evidence-based evaluation and treatment of medical conditions. It is most important to me to actively listen to patient concerns and update clinical conditions, medications and preventative health screening.”

When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Perdik values spending time with his family and friends.
