About Me

Dr. Robert Tamayev, MD, PhD is a board certified allergist and immunologist specializing in both Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. He has a background in Biological Sciences and Chemistry, completing his Bachelor of Science Degree at Fordham University. He obtained his medical doctorate from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he also obtained his doctorate of philosophy in Microbiology and Immunology. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, where he also completed his Allergy and Immunology Fellowship. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Society, the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI), the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (ACAAI), and the New York Allergy and Asthma Society (NYAAS).

He manages a wide spectrum of allergic diseases, including perennial and seasonal allergies, asthma, food allergies, eczema, hives (urticaria), contact dermatitis, sinusitis (with or without nasal polyps), drug allergies, and eosinophilic esophagitis, as well as a broad range of immune deficiencies. He has a passion for treating asthma with a goal of minimizing steroids as much as possible by using targeted therapies, such as monoclonal antibodies.

Dr. Tamayev is interested in working together with his patients and his patients’ physicians to formulate an individualized plan for you, whether it may be prescribing medications, assisting in environmental control measures, or performing allergy immunotherapy (allergy shots and/or tablets).
