About Me

Robyn Granizo, OTR, CHT, is a certified hand therapist specializing in treatment for upper extremity conditions and injuries of the elbow, wrist, and hand.

Before joining Summit Health, Ms. Granizo was a hand therapist serving the Westfield area. She also has been a specialist with with Staten Island University Hospital Burn Rehabilitation and Scar Management division, Inpatient Acute Care Service, and Outpatient Service.

Ms. Granizo notes, "The intricate anatomy of the hand and unique needs of each patient require an individualized treatment approach for best results. I empower my patients with education about their conditions, ways to modify their activities to help promote healing and prevent additional injuries, and details about their rehabilitation program." She adds, "I emphasize to each patient the importance of accurately and consistently performing exercises and wearing orthotics for restoring and maximizing function and returning to work and leisure activities.

Ms. Granizo is a teaching assistant for the Seton Hall University Master in Occupational Therapy Program.

When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Granizo enjoys running, cycling, and spending time with her family and friends.
