About Me
Victoria DeSantos, MD is a member of Summit Health's Obstetrics/Gynecology team. Dr. DeSantos is a board-certified physician who treats gynecologic issues in women of all ages. She has special interest in minimally invasive surgery, particularly laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. DeSantos enjoys being a continual part of a woman’s health journey, from their very first gynecologic visit, to annual visits, to helping them start a family. She says, “I never rush my patients, and I especially love when I am shown pictures of the babies I have delivered. Seeing how quickly they grow and how much they are loved keeps me inspired in my work.”
Dr. DeSantos has participated in numerous research studies and poster presentations. In 2015, she was a Sidney Lefkovics, MD Resident Research Day Award recipient. She was also involved in a quality improvement and patient safety project to develop a post-partum hemorrhage protocol. Additionally, she has co-authored several review articles that have been published in well-known medical journals.
When not taking care of patients, Dr. DeSantos likes to read, travel, watch sports, and enjoy time with her family. In the past, she would participate in different women’s sports leagues, but now she enjoys coaching her children and cheering them on as they pursue their own athletic interests.
