About Me
Amanda Siegel, DPM is a member of Summit Health's Podiatry team. Dr. Siegel is a podiatric surgeon who treats all conditions of the foot and ankle in adults and children. Such conditions range from ankle fractures and Achilles tendon injuries to bunions and ingrown toenails. Her interests include foot and ankle trauma, sports-related injuries, and foot and ankle deformity correction.
Dr. Siegel has extensive training in trauma, wound care, arthroscopic surgery, and elective reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. She also was trained in sports medicine, with experience including treating NCAA Division I athletes. She has participated in several research studies in the field of podiatry.
Dr. Siegel prioritizes thorough communication with her patients about their diagnoses and treatment options, with an eye toward their goals and lifestyle. By approaching patient conditions holistically, she works to identify root causes and individualized care. “Having foot or ankle pain can be so debilitating,” she says. “Being able to help get patients back on their feet pain-free is extremely gratifying.”
Dr. Siegel also is passionate about diabetes education thanks to her undergraduate studies in nutritional sciences. She takes special care to educate her diabetic patients about nutrition as well as proper foot care.
As a former downhill ski racer, Dr. Siegel personally experienced foot pain. Her frequent trips to the doctor and athletic trainer inspired her to pursue a career in the sports medicine field. In her free time, she continues to enjoy skiing, as well as golfing and spending time with her family, friends, and goldendoodle.
