About Me
David Schreiber, MD is a member of Summit Health's Radiation Oncology team. He is experienced in treating all types of oncology patients, with a special interest in breast, prostate, lung, head, neck and gastrointestinal cancers. Dr. Schreiber is experienced in the use of stereotactic radiation therapy and stereotactic radiosurgery, and is eager to provide prospective patients with such advanced, non-invasive treatment. His care philosophy is simple, “I will treat you the way I would want to be treated - with clear communication and direct answers to your questions during or after your visit.”
Prior to joining Summit Health, Dr. Schreiber served as a staff radiation oncologist at the Brooklyn Veterans Hospital and was the Director of Clinical Research for the Radiation Oncology department at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. While there, he was a popular and respected educator and won multiple faculty teaching awards.
Dr. Schreiber is actively involved in clinical research and is a member of national research committees and national health policy committees. He has authored over 80 full manuscripts and given over 100 oral presentations at local and national meetings. His work has received numerous awards from major medical societies, including American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Radiation Oncology. With his strong research and educational background, Dr. Schreiber is able to provide the latest and most advanced treatments to his patients.
When not working, Dr. Schreiber enjoys spending time with his wife and six children. He also enjoys sports and is an avid reader.
