About Me

Deena Adimoolam, MD is a member of Summit Health's Endocrinology team. Dr. Adimoolam diagnoses and treats a wide range of weight-related conditions, including obesity, diabetes, thyroid disease, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and women’s hormonal health issues. She has a special interest in how food can be used as medicine to prevent disease saying, “I’m extremely passionate about educating people on how food impacts their health and how to choose options that promote personal well-being.”

From a very young age, Dr. Adimoolam had an affinity for science and for helping others, and medicine was the perfect way to combine both. “It’s such a privilege to be in a position to create positive change in someone’s life,” she says adding, “By homing in on individual needs, goals, and circumstances, I am able to help each patient live a happier, healthier life.”

Dr. Adimoolam is drawn to music and singing, which inspired her to pursue a musical theater major in college. She also enjoys traveling, her favorite place was Antarctica. Dr. Adimoolam’s favorite cuisine is Thai. She loves to cook and share her favorite healthy recipes with her patients.
