About Me
Joseph Cappadona, MD, specializes in sports medicine as well as general orthopedics, including surgical and nonsurgical treatment of sprains, tears, fracturess, and arthritic conditions of the knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, hip and wrist. His surgical expertise includes knee arthroscopy, ACL reconstructions, meniscus repairs, shoulder arthroscopy and rotator cuff repairs, arthroscopic SLAP repairs, arthroscopic Bankart/instability repairs and distal biceps tendon repairs. He has also performed a large volume of total knee replacements, Achilles tendon repairs and fractures fixations of the hip, ankle, knee and arm. Dr. Cappadona enjoys treating athletes of all ages and skill levels. He has served as a team physician for the Philadelphia Phillies, the Philadelphia Wings professional lacrosse team during their 2001 World Championship season, and St. Joseph’s University men’s and women’s basketball teams. He serves as a team doctor for local high school football teams, most recently Wayne Valley High School and Wayne Hills High School. He has been included in New Jersey Monthly’s Top Doctors listings and has been honored as a Top Doctor/Top Surgeon in Wayne Magazine and (201) Family Magazine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.
