About Me

Before joining Summit Health Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine in 1998, Julio C. Diaz, MD, FAAP, was in private practice with Summit Pediatric Associates. Former Director of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Summit Health, he has been a faculty member and attending physician at Overlook Medical Center and a medical team member of the Overlook Medical Center Children's Neuromuscular Center.

Dr. Diaz is a fellow of the American Board of Hospital Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, and Society for Clinical Pediatrics. He is a diplomate of the American College of Ethical Physicians, American Board of Pediatrics, American Board of Medical Specialists, and American Board of Hospital Physicians. He also is a member of the American Medical Association, Union County Medical Society, and American College of Hospital Physicians.

Dr. Diaz is a recipient of the Atlantic Health/Overlook Medical Center Ackerman Award for the resident most likely to succeed in private practice. He has been featured in the New Jersey Family "New Jersey's Favorite Kids' Docs" listings, Millburn-Short Hills "Super Doctors" listings, New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors" listings, “NJ Top Docs” listing, and was named a 2017 Leader in Medicine by the American Health Council. Additionally, the Consumer Council of America lists him among America’s top pediatricians.
