About Me
Marvin A. Lipsky, MD, FACG is a member of Summit Health’s Gastroenterology team. Dr. Lipsky has expertise in diseases of the esophagus, small and large intestines, pancreas, biliary tract, and liver.
Dr. Lipsky treats a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver diseases including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), hepatitis, and cancer screening. He also has particular interest in the rapidly advancing area of inflammatory bowel disease management. He incorporates motility studies, hemorrhoid banding, and absorption tests into patient care when appropriate, as well.
Dr. Lipsky strives to involve his patients in their healing journey, connecting with each to ensure understanding of common goals and the means to reach them. “I especially enjoy the long-term relationships developed in practice and the knowledge that, occasionally, I have made and will make a positive difference in patients’ lives,” he said.
Dr. Lipsky has been in gastroenterology practice in Springfield and Warren, New Jersey since 1987. He is Medical Director of the Gastro Surgi Center of New Jersey and is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Medical Association. He is also a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.
Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with family, cycling, skiing, and photography.
