Dr. Michael Shirazi is a board certified radiologist with subspecialty fellowship training in Interventional Radiology. Dr Shirazi received his Bachelor of Arts from New York University in New York, NY in 2001(Major in Economics). He received his Doctor of Medicine from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School in 2005. Michael continued with a Medicine Internship in University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and then his diagnostic radiology residency at Kings County Hospital/SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY which he completed in 2010. Afterwards, Dr. Shirazi completed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA in 2011. Following completion of his fellowship Dr. Shirazi has been with New York Radiology Alliance serving as Director of Interventional Radiology at East Orange General Hospital in East Orange, NJ and also provided Interventional Services to Palisades Medical Center & Robert Wood Johnson in Rahway, NJ.
Dr. Shirazi's expertise includes cancer therapies including radioembolization, chemoembolization, and percutaneous ablation to treat liver and kidney tumors. His focus is also on Women's Health including uterine fibroid embolization, pelvic congestion syndrome, and laser ablation of varicose veins.
