About Peter W. Hughes, MD
Dr. Hughes, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, received his bachelor of arts degree with honors from the University of Virginia. He was awarded his medical degree from New York Medical College, followed by a rotating surgical residency at St. Vincent Hospital and an orthopedic residency at New York Medical College. He then completed a hip surgery fellowship at The Hospital for Special Surgery.
Dr. Hughes joined Summit Health (formerly Westmed Medical Group) with Orthopaedic Associates of Stamford in July 2016. He is affiliated with the Specialty Surgery Center of Connecticut, Greenwich Hospital and Stamford Hospital. He specializes in hip and knee replacements and revision.
