Lung Cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in men and women and is responsible for nearly 25% of cancer deaths. Because the disease is often caught in its late, typically fatal stages, screening strategies that can detect it early on are critical. Low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) is a screening option available at Summit Health that is quick, easy, and has the potential to identify lung cancer at a more curable stage.

In this video, Summit Health Radiologist Rita Yeretsian, MD stresses the importance of annual screening and explains the process, eligibility requirements, and benefits of LDCT.

Talk to your provider if you or someone you love meets the screening criteria.
