About Me

Dayna Phillips, MD, is a member of Summit Health's Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery team. Dr. Phillips sees children with a wide range of conditions, including fractures, neuromuscular conditions, and sports injuries as well as development and congenital abnormalities. While Dr. Phillips is passionate about all areas of pediatric orthopedics, she has special interest in developmental hip dysplasia, foot and ankle conditions, limb deformity and correction, and congenital talipes equinovarus (clubfoot).

Dr. Phillips has always had an instinctive urge to help others. She is grateful for a career in medicine where she is able to not only help a patient but also anyone who is affected by that patients’ well-being. “In my field, a straightforward treatment of a fracture may restore a basic function, but thanks to that treatment, a patient may be able to return to their favorite sport or walk a loved one down the aisle on their wedding day,” she says.

Dr. Phillips keeps the child at the center of her comprehensive care and ensures her patients feel in control when it comes to the development of their treatment plan. “By involving my patients, I build a strong rapport, which makes doctor’s visits less scary and more fun.”

Dr. Phillips has several published works on topics, including clubfoot, acute traumatic thoracolumbar paraspinal compartment syndrome, total hip arthroplasty, and more.

When not working with her patients, Dr. Phillips enjoys spending time with her family, especially her husband and daughter. She also enjoys traveling and volunteering on international medical trips.
