About Me

John Schwartzberg, DO is a member of Summit Health’s Family Medicine team. Dr. Schwartzberg specializes in preventative care as well as managing a variety of medical issues that his patients may have. “I have a philosophy where prevention is the best kind of medicine, and each patient must be treated as a whole person instead of just numbers or the sum of its parts.” He is an advocate for educating the community on how to prevent illness with the benefits of regular exercise, a well-balanced diet, and avoiding nicotine. Such simple steps can achieve a great positive impact.

His most important priority is addressing every patient’s concern and providing the care they need in a respectful, non-judgmental environment. He is a strong believer in health equity and applies his empathy for those in need, aptitude for scientific knowledge, and dedication to quality of care to all those who seek out care.

In addition to his position at Summit Health, Dr. Schwartzberg is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and American Osteopathic Association. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine as well as the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Dr. Schwartzberg enjoys connecting with his patients and making a meaningful difference in their health and quality of life. When not working with patients, he enjoys listening to music and exploring new recipes for healthy, plant-based meals.
