About Me
Karan Pal, PA is a member of our Orthopedic Spine Surgery team. Mr. Pal has experience in all aspects of acute and chronic spinal disorders and can accurately gauge the type of treatment a patient would most benefit from, whether conservative, interventional, or surgical. He is equipped to handle all aspects of pre-operative consultations, intra-operative assisting for surgical spinal procedures, and post-operative follow-up care.
Mr. Pal spent much of his earlier years volunteering at hospitals such as JFK Medical Center and became a registered EMT for a regional first aid squad. He was one of two students to successfully complete an articulated BA/MS degree with Rutgers School of Health Related Professions, which is consistently named as a Top US News and World Report PA program. He went on to work and train under physicians and surgeons at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital, Manhattan, before pursuing private practice.
Mr. Pal has always had a sincere desire to help others become the best they can be and, in his profession, significant improvement in function is extremely rewarding. He says, “The goal of any treatment option is to bring patients to the best attainable physical and mental state and to improve their quality of life.” He adds, “Prior to developing a treatment regimen, I make sure my patients fully understand the degree of their spinal disorder, and then I make sure to discuss all options, accurately detailing the risks and benefits.”
When not caring for patients, Mr. Pal enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking. He also loves to travel abroad to explore different cultures and cuisines.
