About Me

Kym Carpentieri, DO is a member of the Summit Health Family Medicine team.

Dr. Carpentieri’s passion for helping others started as a teenager where she was an ocean lifeguard on Fire Island. Her areas of expertise are women's health, adolescent medicine and diabetes (taking care of patients six years and older).

Dr. Carpentieri says her approach to patient care is to “treat the whole patient, becoming the navigator for a patient's entire medical journey.”

Her goal is to be a true family physician, taking care of many generations of one's family.

Dr. Carpentieri takes the time to get to know her patients and their families as people first.  These relationships build trust and enable her to help keep her patients healthy as well as treat their illnesses. Outside of seeing patients, Dr. Carpentieri has a busy life.  She is a loving wife and mother to four daughters and two rescue dogs. She also loves travel and the beach.
