About Me
Michael B. Kerner, MD, FACP, FACG is a member of Summit Health’s Gastroenterology team. Dr. Kerner’s general areas of expertise include colonoscopy, biliary disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), inflammatory bowel disease, hepatitis C, and irritable bowel syndrome.
He takes a patient-centered approach to care; spending quality time and satisfying patient needs are his priorities for every appointment.
“Medicine is fascinating,” he says, adding that it’s offered him the privilege to build meaningful relationships and the ability to help create a healthier world.
Dr. Kerner has consistently been named a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly, a New York City-based research and information company that publishes the Top Doctors: New York Metro Area guide. He also has been recognized in Jersey’s Best magazine’s annual Top Doctors list.
Dr. Kerner has published articles of original research in biliary lipid metabolism in recognized medical journals.
