About Me
Stanley Fox, MD is a member of Summit Health’s Gastroenterology team. Dr. Fox treats a wide array of gastrointestinal conditions, with an expertise in colonoscopy and polypectomy, gastroscopy and esophageal dilation. He enjoys the practice of medicine and solving diagnostic dilemmas, as well as trying to alleviate any anxiety his patients may have regarding their illness.
Dr. Fox has medical affiliations including the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. His approach to patient care is to listen to what the patient is saying, providing the best, most compassionate care possible. He treats the patient, their symptoms and their disease.
Dr. Fox says, "I decided to pursue a career in health care because my mother died at a very young age. During her illness, I always wondered if something more could have been done to save her life. Since I was not able to help her, I thought perhaps I could help other people with their illnesses”. What’s most important to him during a patient visit is to assess how a patient responds to treatment and if any additional problems have developed since their last visit.
When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Fox enjoys reading mystery novels, playing tennis and watching classic movies.
