Jeffrey D. Le Benger, MD, FACS
Chief Executive Officer
Jeffrey Le Benger serves as Chief Executive Officer of Summit Health and Westmed. He is a member of the American College of Surgery, American Rhinologic Society, and American Society of Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Le Benger is a recipient of the MDx Medical, Inc. Patient's Choice Award. He is featured in the New Jersey Family "New Jersey's Favorite Kids' Docs" and New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctors" listings. Most recently, he was included in the 2015 NJBiz “Power 100” list.
Dr. Adam Barrison
Chief Physician Executive, Summit Health
Adam Barrison, MD, is President and Chief Physician Executive of Summit Health, a multispecialty medical group of more than 1,500 clinicians providing comprehensive primary and specialty care across New York and New Jersey. In this role, he oversees clinical strategy, physician leadership, and the continued evolution of Summit Health's value-based care and population health initiatives. He also serves as President of Summit Health Cares, the organization's philanthropic arm supporting community health, cancer research, and access-to-care programs throughout the communities Summit Health serves.
Dr. Barrison is a board-certified gastroenterologist who has practiced at Summit Health since 2001. He previously served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, was named Chief Physician Executive in 2019, and was promoted to President in 2025. His administrative portfolio includes oversight of physician engagement, clinical operations, compensation design, quality and safety, medical professional liability, and the integration of affiliated physician groups. He is a board member of Diamond Hill Insurance, Summit Health's captive risk retention group, and has been active in policy matters relating to physician practice, restrictive covenants, and ambulatory care delivery.
Dr. Barrison received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his medical degree from NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and his gastroenterology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Jack Cappitelli
Chief Medical Officer, New Jersey Region
Jack V. Cappitelli, MD, has served as Chief Medical Officer, New Jersey Region, at Summit Health since 2020, and before that he was Regional Medical Director for Northern New Jersey. Prior to joining Summit Health in 2017, Dr. Cappitelli served for 14 years as President and Managing Partner at New Jersey Associates in Medicine, where he practiced as a board-certified internal medicine physician since 1998.
After completing his undergraduate education at Rutgers University, Dr. Cappitelli earned his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School. He received his Internal Medicine Training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he also earned the honor to serve as Chief Medical Resident and received an Outstanding Teaching Award.
Dr. Nicholas L. Pantaleo
Chief Medical Officer, North Region
Nicholas L. Pantaleo, MD is board-certified in family medicine and provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City University of New York Medical School at The City College of New York. He received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, and completed his residency in family medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was elected Chief Resident.
Prior to joining Summit Health (formerly Westmed Medical Group), Dr. Pantaleo served as Medical Director for Medisys St. Albans, part of Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
Since 2019, Dr. Pantaleo has held key leadership roles in primary care, helping to guide clinical operations, physician engagement, and strategic growth initiatives across the organization. In 2021, following the partnership transaction with Summit Health, he was appointed Service Line Chief of Internal and Family Medicine, where he played an instrumental role in integrating teams, advancing care delivery, and strengthening alignment across practices.
Dr. Pantaleo is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is recognized for his commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and physician leadership.

Mark Vainisi
Chief Strategy and Development Officer
As Chief Strategy Officer at Summit Health, Mark is leading the organization’s growth and strategy to transform the way healthcare is delivered in the U.S. Previously, Mark was Senior Vice President, Global M&A, for Walgreens Boots Alliance (NASDAQ: WBA), a global leader in retail and wholesale pharmacy operating primarily under the Walgreens, Boots and Alliance Healthcare brands. Mark led all corporate development activities for WBA and manages WBA’s significant portfolio of pharmacy and healthcare investments. Mark currently serves on the boards of Option Care Health, Shields Health Solutions, and iA, a pharmacy automation company. Mark previously worked for the Tribune Company and law firm Sidley Austin. He graduated from the University of Michigan and the University of Michigan Law School.
Isai Senthil, Esq.
General Counsel
As a key member of the management team, Ms. Senthil is responsible for providing advice on a wide variety of legal matters for Summit Health and its clients. In her role, she works closely with management, physician and business leaders to support their legal and business functions through oversight and management of departmental legal issues and contracting.
Ms. Senthil’s other essential functions include the oversight of legal matters and negotiations related to: practice acquisitions; physician and provider employment and related agreements; leases and other real estate related agreements; licensure applications, renewals and general licensure related compliance; operational agreements and partnerships; and general corporate and related transactions.
Doug Goggin Callahan
Chief Compliance Officer
Doug is the Chief Compliance Officer, joining the organization in 2025. Doug brings nearly two decades of experience in compliance, legal, and regulatory experience in health care to the role. Doug oversees and supports the Compliance program; audits and investigations; and regulatory advisement for the enterprise. In his prior roles, Doug has overseen Compliance programs for Medicare and Medicaid health plans as well as health care providers.
Most recently, Doug was the Vice President of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at a New York state provider-based organization and health plan. Doug received his law degree at Fordham University School of Law.
Scott Heckenberg
Chief Technology Officer
Scott Heckenberg is a seasoned healthcare technology and digital transformation executive, with over 20 years of leadership experience driving strategic innovation, consumer engagement and operational excellence at Fortune 50 companies including CVS Health and Humana. Throughout his career Scott has spearheaded large-scale technology initiatives, achieving significant revenue growth, cost reductions, and improved health outcomes. As a passionate and servant leader, Scott is committed to fostering high-performing teams and leveraging technology to create lasting value.
Elaina Linnik
Chief Financial Officer
Elaina Linnik is a Chief Financial Officer of Summit Health and brings more than 20 years of finance leadership experience across a range of industries. Throughout her career, she held progressive leadership roles in finance, partnering with business leaders to drive growth, improve financial performance, and support strategic decision-making.
Elaina joined VillageMD in 2024, where she expanded and led the Corporate FP&A function, including oversight of corporate expense management and enterprise-wide financial planning. Following success in strengthening financial operations and planning capabilities, she advanced to the role of CFO at Summit Health.
As Summit Health CFO, Elaina oversees the company’s financial strategy, planning, reporting, and operations, helping drive sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
Melissa Woodhouse
SVP Head, Human Resources
Melissa is the SVP Head, Human Resources at Summit Health and brings more than 15 years of HR leadership in healthcare and retail operations to her role. Throughout her tenure at Summit Health, Melissa has held progressive leadership positions and has played an instrumental role in supporting the organization's growth and evolution.
