Overview

Your child's health journey is a story we write together. At Summit Health, our Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine team provides compassionate, expert care from the very first days of life through the transition into young adulthood. Whether you need a primary care provider for your newborn or support for your teenager's physical and mental well-being, our dedicated team is here to guide you every step of the way.

We care for children from birth through age 22, supporting your family through infancy, childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood. Our approach looks at the whole child, blending clinical excellence with a warm, personal touch that helps families feel understood.

Our Care Philosophy

We take the time to truly know your family. When we understand what wellness looks like for your child, it's easier to recognize when something isn't right. This continuity builds trust and comfort, making visits less stressful for you and your little one. Our pediatricians also work closely with parents and specialists, coordinating care so nothing about your child's health is overlooked.

Services We Offer

From routine check-ups to sensitive teen conversations, we support your child at every stage:

  • Well-child visits and preventive care: We monitor growth, track developmental milestones, and provide recommended immunizations.
  • Sick visits: We quickly diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses, from ear infections to respiratory concerns.
  • Adolescent care: We create a safe, non-judgmental space for teens to discuss mental health, relationships, and other sensitive topics.
  • School, sports, and camp physicals: We provide the documentation your active child needs to stay healthy and ready.
  • Lactation support: Our expert consultants help new mothers with latching, comfort, and any breastfeeding concerns.

Care When You Need It

We know health concerns don't always happen during business hours. That's why we offer easy ways to reach us:

  • Patient portal: Message your pediatrician or nurse directly, request refills, and access records.
  • After-hours care: Connect with our nurse help line and Pediatrics After Hours for urgent needs.
  • New patient availability: Many of our pediatricians are welcoming new families right now.

First visits can be nerve-wracking! We recommend bringing your insurance card, hospital discharge papers, a list of questions, and a fully stocked diaper bag. Dress your baby in loose, easy-to-remove clothing. If possible, have a partner or support person join you to help take notes and ask questions. Read more.

Yes, we understand that children get sick unexpectedly. We offer sick visits and Pediatrics After Hours services for health problems that cannot wait until the next day.

Yes, many of our Summit Health pediatricians are accepting new patients. You can use our Find a Provider tool to search for pediatricians near you and filter by those currently accepting new patients.

We follow the immunization schedule standards set by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the CDC. We believe vaccines are safe, effective, and essential for protecting children from serious, preventable diseases like measles, polio, and whooping cough. Learn more.

Absolutely. As part of our adolescent medicine approach, we often ask to speak with teen patients privately during their exams. This ensures they feel safe discussing sensitive topics like mental health, substance use, or sexual health honestly, allowing us to provide the best possible care.
